Alycia Tilbrook played her 100th game of sheer determination 14/12/11, the dangerous Emily Kirby played her 100th game 16/12/11!
Also Abbey Barnett who played her 100th game on the 21 of Oct is a great story of someone who recently got put down a grade, decide to take the harder road n stay with the club n has improved so much she has been put up a grade this summer season! Well done to all of you :) xx
Grading & the start of the season
Thank goodness the worst part of the season is over, GRADING. We take 5-6 weeks to grade which is longer than most clubs due to our size (17 teams), players not coming out to every training, new players, & most importantly getting you into the right grade!!
We do not try to hurt peoples FEELING'S when players are put down a grade( you should know Gazelles better than that!) & as much as we respect your opinion, we need parents & players to respect the opinion of the 3 people grading. It's a thankless task & if you're not happy DON'T take the easy option & leave, stay & prove us WRONG (we are not perfect... but we try!). I need to thank everyone who helped grade when I asked if you could.
Anyone only needs to look at the success of our club over the last 10 years since I've been the President (constantly getting 40-50 % of our teams into Grand Finals), it all starts with grading! Last week was the start of the summer season, all 4 A grade teams started with wins, B grade(2 teams)1 win,1 lose(1 goal), D grade (2 teams)1 win 1 bye! Jnrs U/15's(3 teams)3 wins, U/13s(3 teams)1 win 1 draw 1 lose,U/11 1 lose, & U/9(2 teams)2 wins, so a great start to all teams & thanks for staying with the club, we do care & take great interest in how all our players, umpires, coaches & members are going!
The Christmas pageant is only around the corner & before you know it we will all be wishing each other a happy festive season & new year so make the most of your games before the break & keep improving as a team! Dugald :p xxx
CONGRATULATIONS!
Well done to one of our umpires & senior players, Sam K, for successfully completing the "Coloured Shirt Program". She has now obtained her National C badge for umpiring, our first in the club to complete the program. To obtain the badge, she was assessed by a testing panel in accordance with the criteria set by Netball Australia.
If you would like to become a badge umpire, you need to be willing to complete the section 1 theory exam with a pass mark of 70% and complete a level 1 umpiring course (duration 4 hours). You also must be a minimum 14 years of age.
So if you are interested, please see Annette at training on a Wednesday night.
Payment Schedule For Summer 2011/12
Due to fees constantly not being paid on time, even with ample time given, it has been decided by the Executive committee that fees will have to be paid before the start of each season to enable you to take court on the first game of each new season.
Registration nights for summer season 2011/12 are on Wednesday 3rd & 10th August at 6pm. A minimum $60 deposit is required on the night, with the full balance due before 12th October 2011. (this is the first game of the season for seniors, 14/10 for juniors).
That gives you 10 weeks to have the balance paid. Payments can be made each week to the secretary or treasurer.
If you will have any difficulties doing this, you will need to speak to the secretary and fill out a payment plan stating how much you will pay each week/fortnight and a date when the final payment will be paid, this must be signed and the payment plan followed each week.
As always, you must have this seasons fees paid before we can accept your rego for next season.
